Professor Jie Yan appointed Secretary General of APAFP

The Asia-Pacific Association for Fertility Preservation (APAFP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Jie Yan as Secretary General of the association.

Professor Yan is a Research Professor and doctoral supervisor at Peking University Third Hospital, where she serves as Deputy Director of the Department of Reproductive Medicine. She also conducts research through the National Key Laboratory for Female Fertility Promotion.

Her research focuses on reproductive endocrinology, assisted reproductive technology and female fertility preservation. Her group has contributed to the understanding of human follicle development, three-dimensional follicle-culture systems and new cryopreservation technologies for germ cells and gonadal tissue. She has led major national research programs, published more than 40 papers as first or corresponding author, and contributed to patented technologies translated into clinical and industrial use.

In her role as Secretary General, Professor Yan will support APAFP's academic development, regional collaboration and engagement with fertility-preservation professionals and institutions across the Asia-Pacific region.
