Biswanath Ghosh Dastidar, MBBS, MSc, MD/MS, is Research Director at the G.D. Institute for Fertility Research and Assistant Professor in the Centre of Excellence in Assisted Reproductive Technology at IPGMER and SSKM Hospital, Kolkata. He also teaches clinical embryology and global women's health in university programs in India and the United Kingdom.
He completed postgraduate training in clinical embryology at the University of Oxford and specialist training in obstetrics and gynecology in India and the United Kingdom. His research spans fertility preservation, ovarian-tissue cryopreservation, reproductive endocrinology, machine-learning applications and telemedicine, with publications in clinical and interdisciplinary journals.
